You are kindly invited to the launch of the book Barbara Blasin: Women in Public Space 2, published following her eponymous exhibition, held in April and May at the Gallery on the first floor of the Zagreb KIC and, organised by the Institute for Contemporary Art.

The book will be presented at the promotion by Željko Luketić, Janka Vukmir, and the author herself, Barbara Blasin.

The book Women in Public Space 2 is an artist’s book, a photo book, printed in a small edition. Although it fulfils the role of an exhibition catalogue with its accompanying text, it is more than that, as it features a series of photographs on 48 pages that function as a whole series.

Barbara Blasin is a graphic designer and photographer, graduated in 2002 (MA) from the Design Department of the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb. She began her professional work in 1997 as a photographer for the magazine Arkzin. She works in design and photography and has collaborated on various interdisciplinary and research projects dealing with women’s historiography. She has exhibited independently and in many group exhibitions at home and abroad. She is the winner of the Croatian section of AICA (International Association of Art Critics) at the “Zagreb Salon” in 2008 and 2011, and the ULUPUH award for the best exhibition project in 2023. She lives and works in Zagreb.
