Artist’s books, at least when it comes to terminology, the relatively new medium of artistic expression.
This term means, in the simplest definition, the use of forms of the book (cover, pages that list, read and watch) for a free and innovative implementation of art.
The concept of “artist’s book” is defined in the late sixties at the time of major fractures in the artistic practice at the time of occurrence of conceptual art, concrete and visual poetry, process art and Fluxus.

Innovative approach to the book and its formation into a work of art is characteristic of all the key directions of the avant-garde of the first half of the last century, from Expressionism and Futurism, to give, Suprematism and Constructivism, to surrealism. Is important to emphasize the intention of the show to encourage a new generation of artists to work on future books.
The exhibited works are the works of over thirty Croatian artists, dating from the 50-ies of 20th century to the recent
