“26 stages of erection”

presentation of the artist’s books and art publications, which has been premierely presented at this year’s third edition of Blind Date Convention in Ljubljana. Convention Blind Date is the central Slovenian event dedicated to art books, art magazines, zines and art publications. At the festival in May 2014 in Ljubljana, Institute P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E. presented dozens of Slovenian and international producers, artists and independent publishers.

In Zagreb, Blind Date AFTER includes an exhibition independant Swiss label KODOJI press, selection of artist’s books and independent publications of independent publishers with author’s choice and presentation of the new artist’s book by Dejan Habicht.
At the opening of the exhibition in Zagreb we announce promotion of his new artist’s book titled
“26 stages of erection,” which was co-published by the Institute for Contemporary Asian art and the Institute P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E.

KODOJI press will provide insight into the functioning of an independent Swiss publishing label which mainly focuses on the field of contemporary visual arts, with an emphasis on photography. The exhibition will present their latest edition artist’s books, prints and posters.

Dejan Habicht is a conceptual artist and writer. He studied philosophy and ethnology at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana (1978 – 1984), graduated in Social Anthropology (1984) Between 1987 and 2000 he worked as a freelance photographer, and since 2002 as a photographer at the Modern Gallery in Ljubljana. He is the author of numerous books of artists, for example. “12 annoying songs,” “One Gasoline Station”, “Please”, “American Bar”, “Woodcarvings”, “Last Stations” “Deconstructing Modern”, which are included in important international collections. He has participated in many important international exhibitions and events at home and abroad.

Exhibition curator is Tadej Pogačar.

TadejPogačar (1960) is an artist and curator. he has studied art history, ethnology and has a master’s degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, where he studied painting. He is the founder and executive director of the Institute P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E. which runs a gallery P74 and Kapsula.
