Gerda Riechert: Glamour, Sisters & Second Hand; Zagreb

Gerda Riechert, the Peruvian artist who living in zagreb for the last four years, and from which she will soon move out. During his stay here, she created few artist’s books that are directly related to the image of Zagreb and Croatia.

Within the program of the Institute for Contemporary Art there are few accentuated topics such as artist’s books, issues concerning integration of foreign artists into the local cultural system, and finally our exhibition of Croatian landscape – levelling histories on an imaginary horizon is about facing our own social, political, economic and historical environment.

Gerde Riechert’s books fit into all of these themes, so we have invited her to present her works to the audience of visual arts and other interested public, for the first time since she came to live to Zagreb.

Along with the titles Glamour, Sisters and Second Hand, Gerda Riechert will also present some of her other observations about Zagreb.
