Jerzy Olek is a Polish artist from Wroclaw and this is the first presentation of his works in Croatia.
The exhibition includes drawings, photographs, collages, prints, photograms, computer graphics, wall installation and video.

Jerzy Olek is the artist and theorist. He is one of the pioneers of the movement of expanded media and photography in Poland during the 70s, the founder of the gallery “Foto-Medium- art” (1977), which was active in Wroclaw until 2007, and which is now in Krakow, at the Foundation of the Museum of New Art.

Since 70s he was a member of the editorial boards at “Fotografja”, “European Photography”, “Projekt”, “Art Life”, “Arteon” and “Artluk”.

Since 1989 Olek was curator of the “Fotokonferencja East-West”. Since 1999, the artistic director of the festival “Labyrinth” in Klodzko.

He is a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan and Gdansk, and at the University of Wroclaw.

Since he has 1991 realized authorial idea “Dimensionlessness of illusion” through multimedia exhibitions and publications. As part of the project has organized more than 100 solo exhibitions and artistic dialogue.

He is the author of numerous books and publications in Polish and foreign journals.

In Stary Gierałtów he is organising a workshop entitled. “Participation in the community,” and in his own gallery “ef” he presents a collection of photographic miniatures of artists from many countries that he has collected on his own.
