“I believe in the mystical in art. Through the practice of art, a sense of the inner, the abstract and the extrinsic should be injected into society.
I repeat: I cast light on the dark side of the human psyche. ”

Miran Blažek, as the winner of the Radoslav Putar Award 2012, presents his new solo exhibition for which the space in which the radio is made, from the ambience, made, as he usually does in his paintings, of black monochrome.

He painted the gallery with charcoal black, where it reaches the mood of his arm and the dimension of his own body. From the coal dust that continued in this hypnotic process, he made a model of gallery space in the ratio of 1: 100 in wax.

Hypnosis, contemplation, alchemy, self-referential painting, institutional critique, or just a sense of space where the storm is working, allegory of underground coal compression, materiality, segmentation and the question of dead animals and plants, perhaps mysticism…
