Listening to the sound works and an informal conversation with the artist

“It sounds pretentious as hell, but it is not, because it is exactly the (self) irony that is one of the key components of his work, and genuine humour present in every Mihaljević’s concept is based on the excessive expropriation of intimacy that goes everywhere as a hot new commodity. Author intelligently avoids easy and simple solutions, constantly stumbling on problems he assigns himself…….

Mihaljević’s curiosity is triggered by objects, events and rituals that each may be completely unrelated, but have a common thread to usually occur and appear in some demonic correct order we’ve probably established by ourselves and then forgetting that we did. Valuable experience of intuitive viewing, adopted through the study and practice of design, allowed him to radically objectify the elements of reality he uses as a loose matter of his own artistic concepts, adding them an aura of mysticism and transcendence.

…… Mihaljević is not interested in social engagement focused on some specific agenda – no matter how trivial it may seem, his activism lies in the fact that he at least tries to make his own quotidianity better. “Mea vita est feria infinita”, right?”
