We cordially invite you to the opening of a solo exhibition by Hrvoje Mitrov. The Mind Fields exhibition is the first exhibition of Mitrov in collaboration with the Institute for Contemporary Art and his almost 40th solo exhibition. The exhibition is made up of his recent works on paper and glass.

“Looking at the works of Hrvoje Mitrov, at first sight, we are not sure of what we are looking at, graphics, graffiti or drawings. The equipment of the work subconsciously indicates that they are drawings because the works are well protected from external conditions, carefully framed, placed under the glass and slightly distanced from the background. More or less recognizable figures made by the black spray, usually in one quick stroke, are filled in the interior with masses of individual tiny little moves, mostly dashes and dots. Each individual work in this sequence is like a sentence, a short story or a mantra. Every work is delimited thought. Mind Fields, a series of spatialized fields of thoughts. Selected from a much larger series of works, now in a gallery space, they are mounted in an undisturbed and stable row creating a quivering, vibrant and restless atmosphere of the total.”
(From the introduction text by J. Vukmir)
